We need a new Medical Centre in Holyhead

  • Do you struggle to get a GP appointment?
  • Is your doctor's telephone line regularly engaged?
  • Do you feel let down by the NHS in Wales?

Health services across Ynys Môn are struggling. In Holyhead a lack of GPs and good medical facilities means local people find it hard to get appointments and their health is suffering.

Holyhead desperately needs a modern, functional, fit-for-purpose medical centre with enough GPs and a wide range of nursing and auxiliary services.

The old Parc School site in Holyhead is a potential location but Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board (BCUHB) tell me that funding is an issue despite the step change it would make to health outcomes for people across our island.

Please sign up to my campaign below so that I can demonstrate to BCUHB and the Welsh Government just how important this matter is to us.

I hear from patients, families and even members of staff who are deeply concerned about Betsi Cadwa

I called on Welsh government to allow operations in England due to the failing NHS in Wales

Wednesday, 17 April, 2024
I called for Welsh Labour to work cross-border with England on healthcare provision to try and deal with the failings of the NHS in Wales. I led a parliamentary debate this week on cross border co-operation of health services.
